My name is Dylan Selden and I'm a 25-year-old composer, artist, and designer from Los Angeles, California. I work predominantly with sound, paint, tile, wood, but I enjoy experimenting with whatever material and instrument comes my way.

Growing up as the son of a professional musician has had a huge impact on my art. I've always been drawn to movement and flow, and I try to incorporate those elements into my work. My goal is to create art that captures the essence of my subjects in a way that's both simple and striking.

Years ago, I was on a different path. I had always dreamed of becoming an aerospace engineer, so I enrolled in TU Delft in the Netherlands. But after taking a drawing class there, I realized that I enjoyed the artistry that goes into designing a plane more than the engineering itself. So I left Delft behind and enrolled at the University of Santa Barbara, where I surrounded myself with paint and music.

I love living in the happy intersection of engineering and art. My work is technical and precise musically, visually, and conceptually. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or would like to know more about my work. I look forward to connecting with you!
